1. Thank you, guys, for the wonderful comments, spiked with unabashed admiration! I particularly liked the lady’s reaction at the very end upon hearing of the 1:12-initiative: “I love it!”
   However, due to my conservative compatriots, especially those in rural areas, both initiatives will not stand much of a chance. The notion of getting something for doing nothing is alien to the diligent Swiss.

   However, I doubt that too many would just sit back and do noting, since people tend to define themselves by their work, and most people like to work in a job where they are respected, and they are miserable when they are without a job. Besides, it is impossible to live on SFr 2’500.- per month in our high price country!
